this expansion is amazing so I hope whatever hate folks are seeing doesn't stop them from trying it for themselves and enjoying it for what it is. The launch has been buggy (new hotfixes are still pushed out every day since release) and the story and way it's told are at times a big departure from other games in the franchise (especially the cutscenes). I'm sure there are plenty of things folks found disappointing in The Frontier. I get the emotion- gaming is a big hobby for folks and part of their identity now more than ever it's become a job/income source for some (via Twitch & YouTube).

There's a lot of visceral, emotional reaction from players that the internet amplifies. It's become a big part of the video game scene for consumers to set high expectations and then go ballistic when a game doesn't turn out to be exactly what they wanted it to be. Let's not limit this to gamers on Reddit.
